On the Button is a first-of-its-kind digital safeguarding and well-being platform, built exclusively for early years settings. Unlike generic school-based systems, it's designed by experienced early years professionals, including a former multi-award-winning nursery owner and Ofsted inspector, who understand first-hand the pressures and realities of the sector.

Being recognised for an award is a testament to our mission: to help early years providers embed best practice for well-being and safeguarding with ease and confidence.

The platform supports settings of all types, from single-site preschools or nurseries and children's clubs to large multi-setting providers. It enables staff to log low- or high-level concerns in real time, without leaving the room. Senior leaders are automatically alerted and prompted to acknowledge or respond, ensuring nothing is missed.

All safeguarding activity is stored separately from planning or admin data, helping designated leads locate what they need quickly and confidently. Parent complaints are logged through a structured, secure system that can link directly to safeguarding concerns, improving accountability, transparency, and reflective practice.

Innovative features like 3D body maps, anonymous whistleblowing, SMS alerts, and concern-pattern recognition bring real-time visibility and early intervention into sharper focus. New tools for safer recruitment and staff training planning also support the updated EYFS and safeguarding reforms coming in 2025. With more features on the way, they will be included as part of the subscription.

Support is a core part of our service: WhatsApp chat, help videos, onboarding calls, and monthly online forums make sure no one is left to figure it out alone. Our voluntary Accreditation scheme also helps providers showcase their commitment to safeguarding excellence.

We also care about sustainability. By replacing paper-based processes, On the Button helps settings cut back on waste, reduce photocopying, and save storage space, doing our bit to safeguard the planet too.
