On the Button software enabling you to:
• Access On the Button through a double-authenticated system on a tablet or pc.
• Keep sensitive information in one secure place, that’s easily accessible on a need-to-know basis and clearly separate from other information.
• Your Safeguarding Policy to be put into practice.
• Encourage everyone in your organisation (room staff, administrators, kitchen staff, etc.) to offload uncomfortable concerns and log them for a child or colleague, making logs normal and relieving their anxieties.
• Professionally formatted logs of concern alongside body maps and descriptions of injuries,
• In-house whistleblowing, which can be done anonymously too.
• The information is shared only with those that need to know.
• Safeguarding logs are immediately notified to those on a need-to-know basis by email and SMS message and must be acknowledged in some form, so nothing is overlooked.
• The DSL and senior staff may add the actions and outcomes to the record.
• Lower-priority records concerning a child/adult’s general well-being are brought to the attention of senior staff through a daily email and SMS message, allowing appropriate support to be provided.
• The number of concerns made over a 24-hour and six-week period is highlighted to show the buildup of issues.
• DSL and senior staff can add further information to each log, including intended actions and outcomes.
• Logging complaints from the family, alongside outcomes and intended preventative actions, as appropriate
• When appropriate, instant PDF reports concerning well-being and safeguarding are available for external professionals or the next provider, reducing the manual hours of compilation and presentation.
• A family report detailing complaints, the outcome, and steps to prevent the situation from reoccurring. These may be tied to safeguarding a child, information for Ofsted, or quality assurance purposes.
• The knowledge that Sue Asquith and Greg Wolff have endorsed the software, both recognised safeguarding trainers and providers of consultancy services.
