Used well, On the Button ensures that nothing is overlooked, allows for a comprehensive view of events, records actions, and presents automated chronological reports. By using On the Button, staff will be able to efficiently explain and evidence their practice and procedures to an inspector if necessary. Importantly, they will also be more effective in their efforts to protect children from harm.

Future developments include safer recruitment records and individual training plans with built-in notifications to remind users when updates are due, in time for the September (2025) Safeguarding Reforms.

On the Button becomes an integral part of your safeguarding practice, working in tandem with your Safeguarding Policy and other procedures. It complements the mandatory safeguarding training that all providers are required to provide for their staff.
