Sam - Manager & DSL - Outstanding 104 place Day Nursery - Worcestershire
"There was always a need for something like On the Button, but there was nothing really out there for kind of smaller businesses or even, even larger businesses to have everything in one place, to be able to easily flip back through children's kind of records of notes, Without having to get out pieces of paper, it's makes life a lot easier for a manager, but it also strengthens your safeguarding practises and procedures in your setting. Everything is in one place.
There's no question, or shall I write it down, shall I not bother, it's clear, you know what you're writing down, and it's immediate, so the senior member of staff will get that immediate notification instead of, oh I didn't have a chance to say to you yesterday that this happened, and it's like oh gosh, you should have told me yesterday, you know, it avoids any of that, so I would say it’s definitely worth, you know, the investment of getting On the Button, and I think it should be almost mandatory in in all settings that they should have, have this, to strengthen safeguarding."
Di - Manager & DSL - 24 place preschool in Shropshire
"Definitely do it. it's a reasonably priced software, that will keep all the safeguarding in one place. It's easy to set up, easy to use, it's quick to be able to log it down and get it all done in, in one go. I, I am really glad we've chose to use it. Yeah, the team, you know, they took a bit of use to get into the habit of it, but once it was done, and they know now that if they haven't got, you know, they don't have to come to me, they can go and log it. It'll come through and then, you know, I can reply to it and we talk about it after, you know. So in that respect, it's fresh in their minds, they can get it straight on there without having to think about it. Excellent."
Hayley - Deputy DSL - 111 place nursery in Suffolk
"It's really, it's. From going from paper to a computerised system is definitely the way forward. I have said to other people I know in other settings, cause they tend to use COMs cause they're in schools. So they understand where I'm coming from with it. It's working well, just from the point of view, I don't have to go around, look at all the classrooms and go through all the paperwork, like the previous lady had to do. So, from that point of view, it does save a lot of time. Now they're all starting to use it, they're actually getting on with it well. We've got an ongoing case at the moment, which has involved 4 or 5 different members, and they've all gone on and logged on and put in their comments where they've needed to quite easily. But I haven't had to sit with them. They could do it themselves because they've watched the training videos."
Sarah - Director - 49 place setting in Leicestershire
"Definitely get it. It's a very useful tool, not just for safeguarding but for well-being monitoring as well. And everything's all in one place and easy accessible. Just yeah, just really easy to use. I'm really happy with it. It does everything that we need it to do. And it's not overly complicated, which is great. I think they've found it useful and I think they're logging more things than they would have done before, possibly, 'cause it's easier to, instead of having to come out of the room and maybe tell me and get a form, if they've run out in the room, it's there ready for them to use sort of thing in the room so they can do it there and then."
Judith - Director - 49 places in Northumberland
"I was looking for something that was easy to use, that would that staff would engage with, that would obviously safeguard children and keep everything together in one safe place, so that if we needed to, if Ofsted came in or if someone from local authority came in and needed reports or information, we could just log on, type that child or member of staff, and that was all there at the touch of a button. So that was the reason why I went for it reall. The ease, the ease, the actual ... give some kind of confidence, that you was safe all in one place."
Melanie - Manager and DSL - 24 place preschool in Hampshire
"I think it's a brilliant idea. I think it's for, for all of us that have been doing, you know, we've been in like the smaller business, or the bigger ones, the way you have to keep an eye on so much, either end, it's, it's a godsend to know that you've got, because I mean the amount of times you can get a phone call from services for young children about something asking you a question, they want a section 47, they do all this, you kind of trying to fumble around looking for bits of paper to write on and then it just seems to, it scares me because if you get it wrong, it's a big thing, isn't it? So yeah, it's definitely, at the moment. Like you say, I don't get lots coming in. It's really good and I really like it."
Kate - Manager and DSL - County Durham Preschool
"I would certainly recommend that they had a look at it, and I think having the free trial, is really useful that they can just have a bit of a play around with it, obviously it's very, It's individual as to whether or not it's gonna work for you because ours is only a small set and it does work really well, and how it would work in a bigger setting I couldn't honestly say because I I'm not in that setting so I don't know, but for the small setting that I've got with the staff that I've got, it, it, It works for us, so I wouldn't, I would certainly say at least investigate and have a look at it. There's been nothing that I've seen. I've I've looked around and there's a couple that came up, so obviously COs, there was another one, I can't think of the name of it now, but there was nothing that was, that was for us, and it's the first one, and I just happened to, I'd looked at COMs and I was toing and froing about it.
I was going to take it to trustees to see whether they would pay for it. And then someone mentioned on the button and I was like, oh, and with that I was like, this just seems so much more sensible, and that one of my trustees is the head teacher of the school where I'm governor, so I had a conversation with her about it, and she kind of looked at the video like of what it was about, and so, you know, I think having the video to explain it and show it was really useful as well for people to look at and see whether it would suit, so certainly people need to investigate it, I think would be my advice."
"I’m a manager and using On the Button has been a game changer for us. Safeguarding can feel like a mountain sometimes, and I worry about it but this makes it so much more manageable. Everything’s clearly laid out, easy to update, and I can see it will save loads of time if or when we need to share information with others. What also stands out is the customer support. I get quick to responses, always friendly, and they actually listen. I've never had to chase answers. It actually supports what we do day to day. I’d definitely recommend it to any manager looking for a proper, supportive system that works." - Kate Luther: Nursery Manager

"I found On The Button a fantastic resource for my nursery. We are able to easily log concerns, actions and outcomes. It fed seamlessly into our safeguarding culture and empowered all members of staff. Senior staff were able to easily oversee it and reduced the risk of concerns being missed. It is well priced and met all of our needs. Their customer support is excellent. they listen to issues and are always looking to improve the software. I would highly recommend the software. - Kate Luther - Nursery Manager

"On the button makes it easier to record concerns and keep a chronological account, where more efficient and accurate accounts are able to be monitored instantly. Instead of dealing with extensive paperwork that consumes a significant amount of time. Personally I have also found on the button to help me record with more confidence due to being dyslexic and it being an online app helps me spell check my entry. On the button also incorporates user feedback, continuously striving to enhance the application and better serve the needs of professional users." - Rebecca Mackenzie: BA Children’s Care Learning and Development, Room Leader Busy Bees Nursery School

"The level of customer service from the OTB team really stands out. Offering video calls, WhatsApp support, and even user meetups sets a refreshing standard that other businesses could learn from. It’s clear they put a lot of effort into making sure people get the most out of the software" - Mateusz Chlebiej: IT Specialist

"I have seen many safeguarding software platforms in my years of Early Years education but this is the first that I've seen that ticks all the boxes. Easy to use with everything in one easily accessible place. Wellbeing and safeguarding concerns are easily and quickly logged and sent to senior practitioners. The On the button platform includes 3D body maps identifying accurate trauma to the body. No more reams of paperwork. Practitioners have to reply to each concern showing that they have received it and what action they will take. This is recorded on generated reports, and in the child's history. On the Button takes away the "Should I shouldn't I" questions allowing practitioners to raise concerns and complaints with confidence and conviction. This has to be the best safeguarding software available. Thoroughly recommended." - Wendy White: Retired Early Years Educator
