How do we ensure that staff don't misuse On the Button?

On the Button incorporates several safeguards to prevent misuse and ensure the platform is responsibly used. Access is controlled through user permissions, empowering administrators to trust and define who can view, log, or manage specific information. Multi-factor authentication and secure login procedures further restrict unauthorised access.

Logs are automatically time-stamped and, except where a whistleblowing concern is raised anonymously, linked to the person making the record. This creates accountability and allows senior staff to support educators in making professional, factual records and improving reporting standards where needed.

The EYFS, Ofsted toolkit and your own Safeguarding Policy are crucial in guiding staff on what should be recorded and how staff logs should be made ethically and professionally. These standards require regular review and checking of implementation.
