On The Button is software designed for well-being, safeguarding, and complaint management in early years settings and children's clubs.

This story was told to us by a customer:

I use On the Button all the time because I like to write everything down. We rely on chronologies a lot, and having everything recorded in one place has been a tremendous help—especially for one child in our setting who has additional needs.

His attendance is quite poor because he struggles to transition from home to nursery. I have frequent discussions with his mum, and she often sends me messages about how he's doing. So, I record all our conversations rather than just logging his absences. This way, when we have SEN reviews, EHCP applications, or discussions about his transition to school, we have a complete record to refer to.

It's not just about tracking his well-being—it's also about providing comprehensive support to his mum. Ensuring she feels heard and reassured is just as important. For example, today, we talked about applying for educational psychology support. At first, she wasn't sure if it would be possible, but I was able to confirm that it was—and I logged that update straight into On the Button.

Knowing that all of this information is safely stored and easy to access gives me a sense of relief and confidence. When it's time for this child to move on to school, I can share everything with his new setting, ensuring he gets the support he needs from day one.

For me, On the Button isn't just a system for logging things—it's a real, practical tool that makes it easier to keep track of the bigger picture and ensure no child or parent slips through the cracks. It helps us stay vigilant and proactive in our care.
